Yoga & Wellness

Rooted in breath, awareness, alignment, and intentional practice.

A grounded approach to yoga and whole-person wellness

Susie was intrigued after her very first yoga class in college. With naturally high and active energy, when the teacher began alternate nostril breathing, she found herself wondering, What in the world am I doing in here… and when are we going to move? Yet even then, she sensed something deeply intelligent about yoga that drew her in.

Today, Susie is certified at the highest level with Yoga Alliance, E-RYT 500, and with over 30 years of teaching experience and more than four decades devoted to movement and wellness, she has enhanced the lives of many through her gift of yoga.

Susie’s style is what she lovingly calls old school yoga — rooted in authenticity, awareness, and purpose. Her classes incorporate meditation, pranayama (breathwork), thoughtful warming of the body to properly open the joints, and an emphasis on alignment and breath before moving into asana (poses) and vinyasa (flow).

What Makes Susie’s Approach Different

Alignment Matters

Her classes incorporate thoughtful warming of the body to properly open the joints, with an emphasis on alignment and breath before moving into asana and vinyasa.

Awareness Matters

Susie’s greatest gift lies in helping participants become fully aware — of their breath, alignment, movement, and inner experience. To her, this is true yoga.

Safety Matters

Wellness should feel approachable, not intimidating. Susie creates space for people to move in ways that feel grounded, sustainable, and respectful of where they are.

What This Practice Can Offer

Greater Balance

This work supports physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, helping life feel steadier, calmer, and more connected.

Through intentional movement, breath, and meditation, you begin to slow down, quiet the busyness of the mind, and become more aware of how you feel in the present moment.

More Presence

Yoga is not simply about doing poses — it is about being present enough to know what feels right, what does not, and learning to live with honesty & spiritual acceptance of oneself.

Deeper Honesty

Meaningful change does not usually happen through dramatic overhauls, but through small, consistent practices repeated over time.

Lasting Support

How yoga and coaching come together

Susie’s passion for yoga naturally led her to expand into life coaching. She intentionally chose to become certified through the Jay Shetty Certification School because his philosophy closely aligns with both her personal values and the teachings of yoga.

Both yoga and Susie’s coaching philosophy embrace daily intentional practices that support our highest well-being, witnessing thoughts without judgment, using breath to calm anxiety and self-doubt, and living in alignment through body, mind, words, and actions.

This philosophy is the heart of Susie’s trademark approach, The Minis Theory™.
